Guttenplan’s has been building a reputation for excellence in products and service since 1908 when founder Jacob Guttenplan opened his first bakery. Our state of the art, 80,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility located in Middletown, New Jersey, is less than 20 miles from the site of the original Guttenplan’s Bakery. We’ve grown from a small family owned retail bakery, to one of the largest producers of frozen dough in the nation. Our products have stood the test of time and the service that accompanies them is always of the highest order.

Present day principals Abe Littenberg and Jack Guttenplan still maintain their grandfather’s old-fashioned dedication to their customers. Although the company has come a long way from its days as a small family business, the company’s management and employees are still often called “The Guttenplan’s Family.” This is a testament to our continuing dedication to our customers as well as each other. Though the company has grown from a small retail bakery to a large wholesale producer of a vast array of frozen dough products, it continues to operate as a family owned business with strong moral values.
