JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Packaging Team is broken into three jobs. The Team will rotate between these jobs. All Packaging Employees must learn and be familiar with the responsibilities of all three jobs.
- Case Packer
- Case closer palletizer
- Counter
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift – 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM (approx.)
- Night Shift – 3:30PM to 2:00 AM (approx.)
- Requires working some Saturdays
General Tasks:
- Counting the amount of product into each case
- Rolls will be counted at the beginning of the items production run
- Add 2 rolls after counting the correct amount
- Set the case scale to the case weight that was established
- Recheck the count to ensure the case scale is accurately set after one hour of producing the same item
- Visually perform a QA check as the product is entering the case
- Remove product that is not within the products specification or is of poor quality
- Place poor quality product into the appropriate remix bin
- Notating the break between doughs and informing partner of the break
- Remove two sample pieces at the beginning of each dough
- Give the sample pieces to Case Closer to be placed in Lot Sample case in freezer
- Take the appropriate steps to produce a food product that is safe to consume
- By understanding allergens and following the procedures on how to handle them as stated in the Allergen Program
- By understanding Good Manufacturing Practices outlined in the handbook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand on his/her feet for the entire shift
- Turn and Twist at the waist repeatedly
- Bend and lift up to 35 pounds over his/her shoulders
